Wednesday Zazen

Details
Wednesday Evening: Zazen, 7:00 - 8:00pm.
Our weekly Wednesday evening Zazen is an opportunity for the Grand Junction Zen Community sangha to practice in the forms we have learned from our teachers. A typical Wednesday session comprises:
- Zazen, or seated meditation, is the first and most primary practice modality of our group.
- Kinhin, or walking meditation, is an opportunity to take the peace and insight gleaned from zazen into action.
- Choka, or chanting, is an opportunity to connect mind and body through sound. Note: the Wednesday chant program will be shorter than the Sunday morning sessions.
Extra zafus (cushions) and chairs are available for attendees, and Zoom attendance is available as well.
Here is a link to the regular chant program. Print outs are provided at the sits (and please do not worry about memorizing any of these! They can be intimidating for newcomers, but there is NO expectation here; we simply show up and participate to the best of our ability).
Note: the Zendo is located at a Private Address. Please park on the street, and enter the Zendo through the sliding doors located in the backyard.
Address: 2021 Chipeta Ave, Grand Junction, CO
