ASGA Grand Strand Golf Event - Wild Wing - Sunday, July 27th

We will be teeing it up on Sunday, July 27 at Wild Wing Plantation. It is surely to be warm and sunny so come enjoy a day of golf!!

Wild Wing Golf Course is one of the area’s most creative layouts. Designed by Jeff Brauer and three-time major champion Larry Nelson, the course is relentlessly interesting, testing players with drivable par 4s, double greens and dual fairways, striking the perfect balance between challenge and playability. Above all else, it is fun to play.

Tee times start at 11:39 am so please be there by 11:00 am so that we can get a group picture and everyone will have a chance to pay and get settled on the carts. Pin placement will be detailed on a pin sheet on each cart along with red, white and blue flags. Range and range balls are included for our use.

The course is excited to host us and is giving us a great rate of $44 + tax per player. Payment will be required at the course directly upon sign in. The course needs a headcount several days in advance, so please RSVP by Monday, July 21. You can manage your RSVP on Meetup. The course address is 1000 Wild Wing Boulevard, Conway, SC 29526. Space is limited so sign up early to secure your spot!

Please remember to tip the awesome bag drop folks!! They do a lot of work for us getting everyone on the carts.

Additional Info:

• Events will open about 6 weeks ahead of the event and will close on Sunday night at midnight prior to the event.
• If you are bringing a guest, please send their name, handicap, and email address to grandstrandasgagolf@gmail.com. This information is needed in order to put together pairings and to send the pairings to everyone prior to the event.
• Pairings will be sent out by Wednesday prior to the event and may have to be revised closer to the event due to late adds and drops.
• The weekday events are not on the calendar yet but will start when the weather improves later in the spring. I am looking for volunteers to host events, especially weekday events. I am also happy to have volunteers to add and host weekend events.
• Closest to the pin money will be divided equally among 4 of the par 3 holes available on the course. Any holes where there is not a winner, the corresponding money will go to the general fund for the benefit of the entire chapter.
• Tipping is at the discretion of each player but please remember to tip and be courteous to the bag drop folks and golf course personnel.
• If you are not a member of ASGA, you must update your Meetup profile and provide a picture (if you haven’t already), your full name, email address, handicap and phone number. If you have not provided this information, you may be removed from the registration for this event. You may attend one event as a guest if you are not already a member of ASGA. If you are not a member, you may way to go ahead and join. You can do that at www.singlesgolf.com. prior to the event.

We will be gathering immediately after our round for eats and drinks at a nearby restaurant. So, stay tuned for details!
