ASGA Grand Strand Golf Event - Myrtlewood Palmetto - Sunday, Aug 23, 2026

We will be hosted by one of the four oldest courses on the Grand Strand, Myrtlewood Golf Club - Palmetto Course, on Sunday, August 23rd!

Myrtlewood Golf Club - Palmetto Course was the first in Myrtle Beach to play along the Intracoastal Waterway, as architect Edmund Alt fused the area’s coastal beauty with his memorable design. The par 4 18th, which plays along the waterway from tee to green, is one of the area’s most recognizable challenges 50 years after the course’s opening.

Tee times start at 9:25, so please be there by 9 am so that we can get a group picture and everyone will have a chance to pay and get settled on the carts.

Pin placement will be designated with red, white, and blue flags. The range is open and range balls are $5/bucket.

The course is excited to host us and is giving us a great rate of $50 + tax per player. Payment will be required at the course directly upon sign in. The course needs a headcount several days in advance, so please RSVP by Monday, Aug 17. You can manage your RSVP on Meetup. Additional Info:

• Events will open about 6 weeks ahead of the event and will close on Sunday night at midnight prior to the event.
• If you are bringing a guest, please send their name, handicap, and email address to grandstrandasgagolf@gmail.com. This information is needed in order to put together pairings and to send the pairings to everyone prior to the event.
• We are looking for volunteers to host events, both weekend and weekday events.
• Tipping is at the discretion of each player but please remember to tip and be courteous to the bag drop folks and golf course personnel.
• If you are not a member of ASGA, you must update your Meetup profile and provide a picture (if you haven’t already), your full name, email address, handicap and phone number. If you have not provided this information, you may be removed from the registration for this event. You may attend one event as a guest if you are not already a member of ASGA. If you are not a member, you may way to go ahead and join. You can do that at www.singlesgolf.com. prior to the event.

We will be gathering immediately after our round for eats and drinks at a nearby restaurant. So, stay tuned for details!
