Hickory Forest Natural Area hike

Details
Edited to correct broken link: Come hike three miles in this spectacular hardwood forest close to Traverse City. Recently available to all, the land was once part of the Kroupa family's land, generously donated and is the largest remaining undisturbed wood parcels within Garfield township.
Located on the corner of Harris and Barney Road on the west side of Traverse City, this trail is a hard packed dirt, a narrower trail with little to no roots or rocks. The terrain is gentle with some rolling hills. We will hike a slower pace and rest as needed.
What to bring: water, snack, comfortable shoes, poles optional. Dogs must be leashed at all times.
Where to meet: We will meet at the Hickory Forest Natural Area at 1:00. The hike will take 1.5 hours. Porta john is available at the trailhead.
We will go if light rain but cancelled for stormy weather. Watch Meet up for that information the day of the hike.
