Hike 100 Challenge: Mayfield Road to Muncie Lake Trailhead

Join the Grand Traverse Chapter of the North Country Trail Association on a 5.2 mile hike on the NCT from Mayfield Road to the Muncie Lakes Pathway Trailhead. We’ll meet at the Muncie Trailhead, located on Ranch Rudolf Road, 0.7 mile east of Rennie Lake Road. Google maps can find it at 44°39'27.9"N 85°26'53.2"W,

We'll then shuttle to Mayfield Road, and hike back to Muncie.
Since we are shuttling to a seasonal road, we will take the minimum number of vehicles possible. Therefore if you have a SUV that can carry a large crowd, please bring it. That will greatly simplify the shuttle.
This hike counts toward the NCTA Hike 100 and the GT Chapter 107 Mile Challenge.
Plan on hiking for about 2.5 hours at a 2 mph pace, with a lunch break. Bring lunch. Hiking shoes, hiking poles, and rain gear are recommended. Consider long pants and bug spray to reduce potential tick problems.
