Meet and leave from Drummond bike shop’s parking area at the Shaker Village off of Rt 4A in Enfield (about 3 miles south of the intersection with Rt 4) at 9:30 am.

Ride is about 23 miles, including 3.5 miles of good dirt road and three miles of very good rail trail.

This is a no drop ride at a 10-12 mph average ride pace and 12-14 mph level ground rolling speed.

The route has a fair amount of uphill for the first 10 miles or so, but level or downhill for the second half of the trip. The “dirt roads” and the rail trail were pretty much indistinguishable from pavement for the most part. The rail trail is usually exceptionally smooth. Virtually level with outstanding views of a largely undeveloped portion of Mascoma Lake.
