GSW Gravel Grinding

Details

The route is a loop of 35 miles with ~ 2500' of elevation riding through New Boston, Francestown, Deering and Weare on more dirt roads than paved. There are no Class VI roads or single tracks on this route but there are hills so be prepared to climb. There will be no supply stops along the way so bring what you need for food, water, etc. There may or may not be porta-potties on the route. Estimated average pace will be 13-14 MPH and although there are no planned stops, we will likely pull over a time or two for a quick break.

Meet at Lang Station on Gregg Mill Road (just off of Route 13) in New Boston. Sign in will be required, as will helmets and following rules of the road. A gravel bike is an excellent choice for this ride. Pre-ride chat will be at 8:50 AM so we can start at 9:00 AM sharp. I am limiting attendance to 10 people so out of courtesy to others: if you sign up, either attend or remove yourself if you can't.

Here is the route. Please download it to your GPS, phone etc. before attending:

As of Tuesday evening the weather looks good. The ride will be canceled if the roads are wet, if it is raining or if there is a significant threat of rain. Any cancelation will be announced via this site to those who have signed up.
