Successful grantwriting is more than strong writing and compelling data. It also depends on ethical practices, transparency, and accountability. Please join Dave Tinker, a former Grant Professionals Association (GPA) Ethics Committee member, who will share some case studies and discuss the GPA code of ethics and how it applies to both consultants and staff members.
Dave Tinker, CFRE, FAFP got his start in fundraising in 1990. He is the Director of Development of Shepherd’s Heart Fellowship - serving homeless veterans and also works as Special Projects Consultant with GoalBusters Consulting. Named to the inaugural class of Distinguished Fellows of AFP International in 2017, Dave is a certified AFP Master Trainer and GPA Approved Trainer. Dave also served on the GPA Ethics committee. He is the 2013 recipient of the Outstanding Fund Raising Executive Award from AFP Western PA. He has spoken on fundraising and technology to audiences ranging from six to 3,000+ attendees and written fundraising curriculum for The Fund Raising School at Lilly Family School of Philanthropy at Indiana University.
