Luca Garulli (https://www.linkedin.com/in/garulli) (@garulli (https://twitter.com/lgarulli)), the author of OrientDB (http://orientdb.com/), is returning to Austin to share the latest developments with OrientDB.

OrientDB can embed documents like any other document database, but also supports relationships -- without using JOIN. Instead, OrientDB uses persistent pointers between records, taken from the graph database world. This enables you to traverse parts of or entire trees and graphs of records in just a few milliseconds.
