Defining the Graph Ecosystem
Hosted by NY Graph Data Science and Analytics
Details
For our inaugural meetup, we'll be focused on defining the graph ecosystem. We'll begin with a brief, 10-minute "State of the Graph" presentation from Brok.ly's Scott Bullard, which he describes as:
"an overview of the history and development of graph theory and graph data structures, some factors contributing to their recent popularity, a comparison of some major projects and deployments, and some predictions about what we'll see in the next year".
We'll then break out into groups for a guided workshop where we'll attempt to describe, in graph form, our respective and shared experiences with graphs and related technologies, to be used as a sample dataset at future meetups.
We'll regroup, present our graphs, then wrap up with news, announcements, and a discussion of this meetup's future meetups.
