First post-pandemic graphdb meetup: Knowledge Graphs and more

During this event, we will cover two topics:

1. Graph Data Platform update by Neo4j

As it has been more than 2 years since we brought this community together - it's probably time for a little update. Neo4j is the leader in the graph database, graph visualisation, and graph data science fields - and they will give us an intro to and an update on the latest and gratest things that have been happening in the field.

2. Knowledge graphs as expert glasses

Our friends at Dotdash utilise knowledge graphs to enable everyone and everything (read: computers) to understand data the way usually only a seasoned data expert would. They call these ‘expert glasses’ to look at and understand complex data. The expert glasses are subdivided into 2 categories: expert glasses for people and expert glasses for machines. This is where we will showcase this by training machine learning models on the CORA paper citation network dataset and comparing prediction accuracy of models where we either use or don’t use the citation graph embedding features on top of the
standard textual features. We showcase less explainable models such as graphSAGE and GCN, as they have incredible prediction accuracy.
