By popular demand, we're running a Java coding session where we use Neo4j's built-in movie data set as the basis of a simple web application.

Prerequisites

You'll need to bring a laptop that can be used for development and have Neo4j 2.1 (http://www.neo4j.org/download) and Java installed. You'll also need an IDE - IntelliJ (http://www.jetbrains.com/idea/download/) is probably the easiest one to get the hang of.

You'll get the most from the session if you've previously attended the Hands on Intro to Cypher session or have played around with Cypher and will be comfortable diving straight in.

If you haven't attended one of those sessions beforehand then please email mark.needham@neotechnology.com and I'll send you the materials to look at beforehand.

Timing

18:15 ~ 19:00 : Refreshments, networking and getting set up
19:00 ~ 20:00 : Part 1
20:00 ~ 20:30 : Pizza break!
20:30 ~ 21:30 : Part 2

Please note you want the Europoint building and NOT the CBS one.

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask in the comments.
