Speakers:
🎤 Talk Topic: Using LLMs to deliver Business Value
Speaker: Muddassir Zaidi, Consulting Engineer @ Neo4j
Summary:
LLMs are transforming businesses in many ways, and data plays a crucial role in unlocking their potential. It's important to remember that using LLMs effectively requires careful planning, data preparation, and ongoing monitoring. In this talk we will examine scenarios where LLMs can use actual ground truth to deliver Business value. We will also discuss some actual use-cases and the tech stack involved in building it.
🎤 Talk Topic: Text-to-Query: Way Harder Than You'd Think
Speaker: Louka Ewington-Pitsos, Senior Data Scientist @ SHAVIK.AI
Summary:
Text-to-Query is supposed to be the "baseline" LLM use-case: it's just formatting. LLMs are supposed to be great at formatting. Text-to-Python, Text-to-HTML, Text-to-Cypher, these are all supposed to be solved problems. Fun fact: they're not solved problems. This is a quick talk about our attempts at Shavk.ai to solve one of those supposedly easy problems (Text-to-SQL) including:
- How do we know that this problem isn't solved?
- How close can we get out of the box?
- How close can we get with prompt engineering?
- How close can we get with finetuning?
- What did I get horribly wrong?
Bio: Louka has founded 2 machine learning startups one (horse race outcome prediction) sold, the other (AI road fault detection) crashed and burned horrifically and then worked as a consultant in Melbourne as a data science consultant for the last 3 years before taking up a role at shavik.ai as a senior data scientist. In his spare time Louka currently helps to run the Melbourne Machine Learning and AI Meetup, and is also running Australia's first multi-state AI Hackathon focused on using AI to trade on the energy market to help fight climate change. He also has a fun youtube channel focused on AI image generation.
