Hosted by Graph Database - Midwest
Details
We have a lot of new Graphistas, so we are going to split this meet-up into two sessions.
Session one from 6-6:45 will be an introduction to Graph Databases followed by 15 minutes of questions about graphs in general or your current graph projects, then we'll start from 7 to 7:45 with Session Two on Gremlin the graph traversal language.
Beginner Track
What is a graph made of? Different kinds of graphs. What is a property graph? What is a graph database? What is Neo4j? What can you do with it? Learn the basics. Get a head start by visiting my blog http://maxdemarzi.com going to the earliest post and reading your way to today.

When it comes to traversing graphs, Gremlin is the greatest thing since sliced-bread, but it takes a little getting used to. We'll start with the basics, throw in some indexes, recommendation systems, transactions, subgraphs, and interfaces to JUNG.
Once you get Gremlin, you'll get graphs.
