Ocktoberfest in the Kentlands

Enjoy the 31st anniversary of Ocktoberfest in Kentlands with GRASP members! Have lunch with us, then stroll around together or on your own.

Expect beer, bratwurst, saurkraut, and other Ocktoberfest foods, plus dancing on three different stages, pumpkin carving, apple cider pressing demos, strolling entertainers, vendors/artists/craftspeople, and event sponsors with information booths.

The event runs 12-5 PM. We will meet in front of Grape Escape in Kentlands at 11:30 AM. Look for host Randy (aka Rand) in the neon yellow/green shirt.

By 11:45, we'll walk five minutes to the nearest streets, but we will bypass the vendor/shopping booths because there is seldom a line. We/you can circle back on the way out.

By contrast, the main food and drink at the Kentlands Village Green quickly gain lines as long as 30 minutes, the seating is limited, and specific foods (and beers!) have run out before, so we want to get there quickly to dine together. This is another five minute walk to reach, and harder to find, but we'll ensure you make it! Near the Village Green are also the bulk of the activities at the Arts Barn and Kentlands Mansion.

Sunblock, good walking shoes, and water are suggested, and a small bag to hold the goodies (magnets, pens, cups, etc.) vendors hand out. Last year it was quite breezy and cool. Cash is encouraged in case mobile credit card devices fail.
