Solopreneurs Circle: Founding Meetup
Details
If you run your own business, you probably know the feeling: meaningful work, but often done alone.
This first gathering of the Grass Valley Solopreneurs Circle is an opportunity to meet other independent builders in the area including creatives, consultants, practitioners, and small business owners.
We'll keep things simple:
• Brief introductions
• Sharing what we’re building
• Open conversation about the realities of independent work
The goal isn’t networking in the traditional sense. It’s thoughtful conversation, perspective, and connection with others who understand the solopreneur journey.
Agenda
- Welcome & Context (5 min)
- Introductions Round Robin (20-25 min)
- Open Discussion (20-25 min)
- Closing Reflections (5-10 min)
What to Bring
- Just your lovely self, however, you're welcome to bring a snack or beverage.
What to expect
To help create a space that feels thoughtful, supportive, and worthwhile for everyone, we follow a few simple principles:
- Be respectful and generous with each other’s perspectives.
- Listen with curiosity. Many of us work in different fields, and that diversity is part of the value.
- Share honestly if you feel comfortable, real conversations are more helpful than polished networking.
- Avoid pitching or hard selling. This is a space for connection and conversation first.
- Give everyone space to speak so all voices can be heard.
- What’s shared in the group should be treated with discretion and respect.
The goal is to have a relaxed environment where we can talk openly, exchange ideas, and leave feeling a little less alone in the journey.
Location
We will meet at the Sierra Center for Spiritual Living but please park in the rear of the Grass Valley Veteran's Memorial Building at 255 S. Auburn Street and the take the footpath to the Center.
