Solopreneurs Circle: Wins, Challenges, & Overwhelm
Details
Building something of your own can be deeply meaningful and at times, a little lonely.
This gathering is a space for solopreneurs of all kinds: creatives, consultants, practitioners, and small business owners can come together for real conversation, mutual support, and a sense of shared experience.
We'll keep things simple:
- Brief introductions
- A round of sharing (one challenge + one win from the past couple weeks)
- Guided conversation around the realities of solopreneurship
- Reflections
This event's theme: managing overwhelm
To gently guide discussion, you might think about:
- What has been feeling most overwhelming for you lately?
- What’s one strategy that's helped you moved forward?
There’s no pressure to prepare, these prompts are just to spark reflection if it feels helpful. The conversation can flow wherever it naturally goes.
No pitching, no pressure just thoughtful conversation and connection.
Bring yourself as you are. Snacks and drinks welcome.
Agenda
- Welcome (5 min)
- Introductions (5-10 min)
- Open Discussion (30-35 min)
- Closing Reflections (5-10 min)
What to Bring
Just your lovely self, however, you're welcome to bring a snack or beverage.
What to expect
To help create a space that feels thoughtful, supportive, and worthwhile for everyone, we follow a few simple principles:
- Be respectful and generous with each other’s perspectives.
- Listen with curiosity. Many of us work in different fields, and that diversity is part of the value.
- Share honestly if you feel comfortable, real conversations are more helpful than polished networking.
- Avoid pitching or hard selling. This is a space for connection and conversation first.
- Give everyone space to speak so all voices can be heard.
- What’s shared in the group should be treated with discretion and respect.
The goal is to have a relaxed environment where we can talk openly, exchange ideas, and leave feeling a little less alone in the journey.
Location
We will meet at the Sierra Center for Spiritual Living but please park in the rear of the Grass Valley Veteran's Memorial Building at 255 S. Auburn Street and the take the footpath to the Center.
