Get ready for an unforgettable outdoor day trip with friends! Join us as we embark on a journey of gratitude, nature, and self-discovery. This adventure will lead us through the picturesque beaches and rolling countryside of Block Island, offering a chance to connect with both the beauty of the outdoors and the camaraderie of fellow adventurers.
What to Expect:
🕚 Meeting Time: We'll start our day trip by meeting at the New London Ferry Dock at 11 a.m. An adult round trip (same day) ticket costs $64, and parking is available for approximately $10. For more information about parking, please visit the New London Ferry dock website.

🚢 Ferry Schedule: Ensure you book your ferry tickets accordingly with the following schedule:
- Departure from New London: 11:50 am
- Arrival in Rhode Island: 1:05 pm
- Departure from Block Island: 8:10 pm
- Arrival in New London: 9:25 pm

Bring Lunch: Please bring lunch to energize for the 3.5-mile gratitude walk on Clay Head Nature Trail.
🚖 Getting Around: We'll catch a taxi to the Clay Head Trailhead upon reaching Block Island. Please have cash ready, as some places might not accept credit cards. The taxi fare is approximately $5-10 per person.
🌿 Nature Exploration: Our day's highlight includes a scenic hike along "The Maze," also known as the Clayhead Nature Trail. This trail spans 3.5 miles, out and back, and is considered an easy route with breathtaking scenery.
🛍️ Shop or Exploration: After our hike, you'll have the opportunity to explore the island's charming shops and other activities individually or with others.
🍽️ Dinner Meetup: We'll reconvene for dinner at 5 pm at a place to be determined, whichever is open and can accommodate our group size (the Oar, Dead Eye Dicks, or The National). We could watch the sunset from the deck of Dead Eye Dicks if it is open.
🍦 Sweet Treat: For those with a sweet tooth, we can indulge in some delicious ice cream before heading back to the ferry.
👟 What to Wear: Don't forget to wear comfortable and appropriate clothing, along with hiking shoes or sneakers.

Please note that the Gratitude Choice Project (GCP) shall not be liable for any incidents, accidents, loss, or damage to personal property or for personal injuries, illness, or death during the Block Island trip, including the gratitude walk and hiking activities. By participating, you acknowledge that you are traveling and hiking at your own risk. We encourage everyone to exercise caution, stay mindful of your surroundings, and enjoy the experience responsibly.

Arrive Early: It is strongly recommended that you arrive at our ferry dock at least thirty (30) minutes in advance of scheduled departure time. Please allow ample time for unanticipated traffic delays, parking, issuance of tickets and boarding the ferry.
10 Minute Rule: For Standard Reservations, tickets must be issued at least ten (10) minutes prior to your scheduled sailing time or your reservation will be cancelled and you will be placed on standby. NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE TO THIS RULE.
Priority Service: Priority Reservations that are checked in, ticketed, and ready to board at least 30 minutes prior to departure time will be in the first boarding group. Because vessel boarding may begin as early as 30 minutes prior to departure, Priority Service reservations that are checked in and ready to board between 30 minutes and 5 minutes prior to departure will be boarded as soon as practicable. Priority Service reservations may check in until 5 minutes before departure time, after which your reservation may be cancelled and you may be placed on standby. Priority Reservations may be changed without a processing fee, but the changes must be made prior to the reserved date and time of departure. Cancellation fees still apply.
Reservations: Your reservation confirmation and a photo ID, must be presented at our ticket office in order for tickets to be issued.
