Hello! This is not a post or a meeting... Is just an introductory manual about the group:

What is this group?

This is a group created by Theresa (https://www.meetup.com/GRE-DC-Meetup-Group/members/7937380/), a former GRE instructor, so like-minded folks can find study partners and exchange tips.

Costs

Is the acces to this group free? Yes.

Do I have to pay for being a member of the group? No. There is an optional fee of 5 $ a year for anyone that whant to contribute for the group.

Is there any charge for assisting to the meetings? No.

Is there any charge for create meetings? No.

Are teachers helping in the meetings? No. This is just a group for meeting of students that want to meet together in order to study and help each others.

However, students can hire an instructor to meetings, but I do, please specify that an instructor will be there and the amount to be paid to the instructor.

How to suggest a meeting.

Any member of the group can suggest a new meeting clicking at home page to "+ suggest a new meeting" option.

There members can:

  • Create a tittle for suggested meetings,

  • Inform details about the meeting,

  • Choose a date and time for the meeting

  • Choose a place for the meeting.

At this point you can save the suggested meeting, but will be visible only to members of this group at suggested tab in group's homepage.

After a meeting is suggested members can join to the suggested meeting accessing to suggested site: https://www.meetup.com/GRE-DC-Meetup-Group/#suggested

How a suggested meeting becomes official.

After three members join to a suggested meeting, it becomes official. Then meetings appear in the home page of the group and it will be visible for everybody in meetup website. Meeting details dates, places and time can be changed or updated at anytime.

Feel free to suggest a meeting at anytime, so please, be the first in suggest the next meeting.
