Scenic Shenandoah Part 3 - Buck Ridge/Buck Holl0w/Cave Falls loop hike

Details
Hello Friends!!!
Welcome to an alternative Saturday hike on the second day of Summer - beginning at my residence (or other locations TBD) at 7:00 a.m. Carpooling is recommended due to the small parking area at the trailhead and depending on the number of participants. Suggested passenger contribution is $5 for gas for the approximate 120 mile round trip.
Now - the hike description: A loop hike of about 11 miles and 2700 feet of elevation on the eastern slope of SNP, beginning at a small parking lot a few miles west of Sperryville off Route 211. We will hike up Buck Hollow, down to Cave Falls, and back to the cars via Buck Ridge. Cave Falls has a pool perfect for cooling off before continuing the hike - adventurous hikers may wish to wear clothing that dries quickly (or swim suits). Note that there are stream crossings that may be challenging if the water level is high. Also, I plan to take photos at the falls so this will NOT be a fast hike - just slow and reasonably steady.
Yes, it makes for a full day, but most of you can sleep on the way home (as long as you are not a driver).
More details on additional meet-up locations (if necessary) when I get a head count. Text any questions to me at 703 401-5399. Hope to hear from at least 10 of you!!
Dick
