I am scheduling a 4-6 mile ATERNATE WEEK hike at Sugarloaf Mtn. in Maryland. Depending on how many are interested, I will provide additional information on possible meetup locations for carpooling (most likely my residence in Herndon, just off Route 7). I can take 3 or 4 passengers - depending on size! Any participants from Maryland may opt to meet at the hike trailhead. This hike has many up and downs and is a bit rocky in some parts but the views from the top (see photo) are well worth the approximate 1000-foot total elevation gain! Really!! p.p.s. the drive to the trailhead is just over one hour. meetup time for carpooling at my place is 8 am. The 9 a.m. start time is at the trailhead beginning at the West View parking lot - the one at the END of the road!
p.s. a voluntary donation (per car) is suggested for the drive up the private road to the mountaintop.
