Alternate week hike: Colvin Run Mill to Potomac River

We will hike approximately 9-miles out and back from Colvin Run Mill, along the Fairfax Cross County Trail and the Difficult Run Trail to the Potomac River and back. The trail is mostly flat with only a few short hills, but the distance is three times greater than our regular Great Falls hikes. The starting point is the Colvin Mill parking lot just off Route 7 about 5 miles west of Tyson's. The parking lot is just past the mill on the left if coming from Tyson's. It is a scenic hike that follows Difficult Run from Route 7 to the Potomac River, with lots of Fall foliage. Contact me if you have any questions.
