GSHAG Deep Creek Campout - Used Gear Sale (SELLERS Please Sign Up)

Details

## About the Gear Sale (6pm - 8pm):

Is your hiking & camping gear closet overflowing? Is your significant other complaining you have too much "stuff" you no longer use?

Are you not ready to spend top dollar on new gear and are just looking for some gently used gear?

Then here is your opportunity to sell or buy gently used hiking and camping gear. We will be setting up a dedicated area with ground tarps behind the Deep Creek Pavilion for GSHAG Campout attendees to sell or buy used hiking and camping gear! So, join us after dinner and see what used gear steals you can find!

SPECIAL "FEED THE BEAR" SALE TAGS:
There will be items for sale with special "Feed the Bear" sale tags. The proceeds from these items are being donated by the Seller to GSHAG Feed the Bear account.

BUYER INFORMATION:
Come by after the cookout to shop for used gear deals! Buyers do not need to sign up for this event if they are simply shopping. All gear is sold in "AS IS" condition. Event organizers and GSHAG Leadership are not responsible for the working condition of any gear.

SELLER INFORMATION (if you are a Seller you must signup up for this event to sell gear):

Step 1: If you would like to sell your gear please "sign up" for the event so we can make sure there is space allocated for you.

Step 2: Start "de-cluttering" that gear closet!! We all have gear that perhaps no longer fits, you don't like a color, or you have simply decided to buy something else.

Step 3: Inspect, clean and place a price tag on your gently used gear. All gear must be in clean, working condition. Special "Feed the Bear" tags will be available the day of the event if you want to donate sale proceeds on a particular item to GSHAG Feed the Bear.

Step 4: Lay out your gear for sale on your designated tarp area or bring a folding table to display your gear.

Step 5: Strike a deal with the buyer. Sellers are responsible for negotiating their price and the transaction. Be sure to bring small bills for making change.

Step 6: Sellers are responsible for the removal or disposal of any gear that is not sold.

NOTE: Event coordinators are NOT responsible for gear left unattended, lost or stolen gear! Sellers are responsible for being present the entire time their gear is on display. Event coordinator will NOT sell your gear for you.
