Baker Creek Preserve - 3 mile After Work
Details
Happy May Let's Hike ! As with a lot of parks in South Knoxville we have to thank Legacy Parks Foundation and the Appalachian Mountain Bike Club. The route we will be taking is 3.14 miles with a elevation gain of about 1,000ft. I would rate this more on the moderate side because of the elevation gain at times. For the most part the trail is single track dirt with the typical rocks or roots from time to time.
We plan to start on the Sycamore Loop to Floyd Fox then Red Bud Crest. Here is the map of the park: http://www.outdoorknoxville.com/images-outdoors/maps/map-BakerCreek-print-2019.pdf
Here is a link to information about the park with some cool GOOGLE Trekker Street view of the trails. http://www.knoxvilletn.gov/government/city_departments_offices/parks_and_recreation/parks/baker_creek_preserve Please bring water, proper footwear and typical hiking gear.
