Overview
We’ll climb Mount Te Aroha (952 m) via the Summit Track and return the same way. The route offers steady ascent through forest to open views from the trig tower.
Distance: ~10 km Elevation gain: ~1,000 m Time: about 5 ½ – 6 hours total.
This is an excellent training hike with a solid climb, rewarding summit views, and a good track surface even after rain.
