Christmas Gathering at Herne Bay Pétanque Club

Let’s celebrate the end of the year together with good food, laughter, and a few friendly games of pétanque at my club in Herne Bay.

Plan for the Evening

We’ll start with 2–3 friendly games of pétanque.
If you’ve never played before, no problem; I’ll give a short introduction and you’ll learn quickly.

After the games we’ll have dinner together in the clubhouse.

Food & Drinks

I’ll provide the main dish. Please bring an entrée, side dish, dessert, or drinks.

BYO drinks.

The clubhouse has a kitchen and dishwasher; we’ll need one or two volunteers to help with cleanup at the end.

Venue & Parking

Herne Bay Pétanque Club, inside Salisbury Reserve.

Access is via the Salisbury Reserve footpath, which runs from the end of Salisbury Street through to Argyle Street.

You can:

• park on Salisbury Street and walk along the footpath from the end of the street, or
• park on Argyle Street and follow the footpath beside the driveway at 26 Argyle Street.

The clubhouse and terrain are spacious and sheltered — perfect for an easy evening among friends.

• Comfortable shoes for pétanque
• A festive spirit and good humour

The venue isn't free so donations welcome.
