Let your imaginations roam the skies! Join us for a special 70th anniversary screening of this pulpy B-movie sci-fi classic, on 35mm film! Sponsored by the Coolidge Corner Theatre.

About the film: While looking through his telescope one night, John Putnam (Richard Carlson) sees what at first appears to be a meteor shower -- but it is actually a crash-landing alien spaceship! After investigating the crater from the impact, John informs the town sheriff (Charles Drake), and receives nothing but ridicule. Even his fiancée, Ellen (Barbara Rush), is skeptical. All that changes when the townsfolk start disappearing, and are replaced by eerie alien duplicates. (from RottenTomatoes.com).

I have not been to this venue, but I will do my best to find everyone planning to attend so we can sit together.

We are not planning dinner, but if folks are interested we may head out for ice cream or a beverage after.

No tickets or advance reservations are needed. Plan to bring a blanket or portable chair.

To get there: Closest T station is Aquarium on the Blue Line. Parking in nearby Rowes Wharf garage.
