Why should you come to the March 20th convention of the Libertarian Party of Mecklenburg County at Hawthorne’s pizza?

Be a delegate! Prepare now for 2024 when you can cast a delegate vote for the finest and most strategically savvy Presidential and Vice Presidential candidates to run against the Duopoly.

Be a local candidate! Throw your hat into the ring and run for local office! We can start your committee and seed your campaign fund for the local offices in 2021! Sign ups in Charlotte start in August.

Be a state candidate! Run for the NC General Assembly to help restore sanity to debates on schools and public health! We can start your committee and seed your campaign fund for state offices in 2022!

Be a federal candidate! The midterms of ‘22 will be crazy! Do you have what it takes to run for Congress or Senate? Can you volunteer for our brave Federal candidates swimming against the horrible tide of perpetual debt for perpetual war?

Be on a committee! The LP Meck executive committee needs committed volunteers to work behind the scenes or to go face to face with voters who have abandoned the major parties. We have a great opportunity this year to build membership and we are THE growing party in North Carolina! As the only Third Party with ballot access, we need to spread the word to the voters that the people of North Carolina have a choice outside of the dysfunctional two parties.

Be a volunteer! We have a calendar of public events from small to large and we need to show our persistence and presence. If you have people skills and want to put off a decision to be a candidate or work for the party, there is no better way to ease your way in than interacting with large crowds (Memorial Day, July 4, Pride Festival, Street Fairs, Gun Shows, etc.)

Be a reader and join the book club! Do you want to know more about the great tradition of libertarian thinking and the freedom movement! We have a separate book club for readers on MeetUp, and we are giving away books on the list to new members!

Come get free pizza at Hawthorne's! This is the one time of the year we make sure everyone who attends gets both good food and good politics.
