What we’re about
This group is for the complete beginner to expert data scientists to share their analytical tips, ideas and experiences. We will invite speakers for presentation to learn new skills, practice paired programming to share our knowledge, and team up to challenge the online data science competitions including Kaggle and Numerai. Kaggle is the world’s largest data science and machine learning competition online: www.kaggle.com. We will mainly use Python, Julia and R as our analytic tools, but another language is welcome. Although it is the age of the big data, this group will focus on small to medium size data that will perfectly fit into your main memory in order to focus on the analytic coding part. Co-organizers, speakers and sponsors are always welcome.
