What we’re about

It is said that it was JFK’s favorite game. Authored in 1956, it has captivated groups of eight since its inception. It begins in 1901 and follows the course of World War I, with seven players representing seven great powers in that war: Austria-Hungary, England, France, Germany, Italy, Russia, and Turkey, with one Game Master, to adjudicate orders. It is not for the faint of heart, as it can take hours for one person to gain the necessary 17 centers, or else resolve in a draw with one or more fellow nations. Richard Sharp’s open source book, “The Game of Diplomacy,” is highly recommended reading for those wanting to know more about the rules and character of the game: https://diplomacyzines.co.uk/home/contents/the-game-of-diplomacy/
