Everett Women's Network - Power of Local Media
Details
A Fireside Conversation with Marines Scaramazza
Every community has stories that deserve to be heard. The question is who gets to tell them and who gets to see themselves reflected back.
For more than two decades, Marines Scaramazza has worked at that intersection. As a journalist, media founder, and community builder, she has created platforms that elevate local voices and serve Hispanic communities across Washington State with intention and trust.
At this Everett Women’s Professional Network event, Marines will share her journey from the newsroom to founding Latino Herald and 76 Media, and what she’s learned about leadership, representation, and building media that truly serves the people it reaches. We’ll talk about the power of local storytelling, the responsibility that comes with community voice, and why local media still matters in a fast-moving digital world.
The evening is designed as an open, engaging conversation, grounded in real experience and shaped by shared reflection and connection.
