The Menil Collection, a public art museum located in the heart of Houston at 1533 Sul Ross St, welcomes us to explore a campus of art buildings and green spaces set within a residential neighborhood. The museum is free and exhibits naturally lit galleries. We are invited to unplug and engage with the works on view. We are also welcome to enjoy a free DACAMERA performance by young jazz and chamber music artists nearby at Menil Drawing Institute from 3pm - 4pm at 1412 W. Main St.
Let's first gather at the main entrance of the Gray Cypress-Clad Building, address provided above, starting at 12pm, to enter by 12:30 one building after another immersed in the creativity of the art presented! We can each stroll leisurely impressed by the quality of the art, and individually leave around 2:30 to the performance. We will see each other again there till 4 pm.
Attending a cafe around after that is an option for who desires.
