What we’re about
Are you facing a change, or wanting one? Do your actions line up with your intentions? Are you living your life as you want to, or do your feelings and fears get in the way? Our Open Men's Group is a place to figure out what you want in your life and take steps to make it happen.
Feeling glad, sad, confused, angry, afraid, or ashamed? You and your feelings are welcome in our Open Group.
We are men cultivating emotional maturity, personal mastery, compassion, and integrity to ourselves and each other. We find that being open with other men in a safe and confidential circle helps us to be clearer, stronger, more effective and more loving in our lives.
Our meetings are FREE and open to any man willing to follow some simple ground rules about safety, respectful listening, and confidentiality. We meet from 7:00-9:30 PM on the third Tuesday of the month at Congregation Beth El-Keser Israel (“BEKI”), 85 Harrison St, New Haven, CT 06515. Our nonsectarian Men's Group is affiliated with the international Mankind Project.
Men who attend an open meeting and wish to become more involved may attend weekly meetings and participate in a weekend training offered by The Mankind Project.
If you are interested in attending, please email Bob Congdon at bobcongdon1@comcast.net and provide your email address and phone number so that Bob can call you to describe the meeting format and discuss whether the Open Men's Group is right for you at this time.
