Fashion & Sustainability: Textile Waste & Recycling 101 with Fabscrap

Join us on Thursday, March 25, 6:30-7:30pm ET to learn from FABSCRAP about the basics of textile recycling & waste in fashion. In this virtual Zoom presentation, FABSCRAP will review the fashion industry practices that contribute to waste, and affect climate change, FABSCRAP's work to solve this issue, and where design goes from here as we plan for a better future.

Prior to her role as Co-Founder & Creative Director of FABSCRAP, Camille Tagle spent her career as an eveningwear designer for renowned luxury, contemporary, and mass-market brands in New York City. After witnessing the many environmentally damaging practices of the industry first-hand, Camille was especially motivated to create much needed textile resources and solutions, and ultimately transitioned from fashion design to waste management. Her previous design experience combined with her current role at FABSCRAP both lend a clear focus of why sustainability must become a key component in the education of today’s designers, and in shaping the future of the fashion industry.
