CHADD Adult Support Group

Details
Navigating life with ADHD as an adult can be an intricate dance, filled with unique challenges and triumphs. The path may feel overwhelming at times, but there is strength in a supportive community.
Task initiation is one of the most common executive function challenges for adults with ADHD. Join us this month for a practical and engaging presentation. Eric Kaufmann will introduce a simple yet powerful 3-step process designed to help break the procrastination cycle and make it easier to start tasks (even the ones you’ve been avoiding).
About our Presenter: Eric Kauffman, M.Ed. is an adult executive function coach, educational therapist, and co-founder of UpSkill Specialists, a coaching practice that helps neurodivergent adults build the systems, strategies, and tools they need to follow through and succeed. Based in San Clemente, Eric specializes in helping adults overcome procrastination, disorganization, and other executive function challenges.

EXCITING NEWS FOR CHADD
Over the next few months, CHADD chapters across California—including ours—are coming together to form one unified statewide chapter, CHADD of California. This change will strengthen our collective impact by providing more support and creating additional opportunities for our community.
Transitioning to a state chapter model will also allow us to advocate at the national and state levels more effectively for access and care for Californians with ADHD. Everything you already love about our local CHADD group will stay the same in the best ways—same community, same heart—but with more resources, greater access to CHADD meetings, and a stronger network of individuals who share our vision—a world that recognizes, incorporates, and celebrates the strengths of those with ADHD.
We will share more details soon, with updates rolling out throughout the summer. But we wanted you to hear it here first, from your local CHADD community.
This transition is an exciting step toward deeper alignment with CHADD’s mission and a stronger, more connected future for all of us. By coming together as a state CHADD chapter, we can better support our local communities while staying true to our shared purpose, empowering people affected by ADHD.
We are excited about what this means for all of us, and we look forward to growing together.
CHADD (Children and Adults with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder) is the nation's leading non-profit organization for individuals with ADHD, their families and professionals. Over 150 local chapters across the U.S. offer support for individuals, parents, teachers, and professionals.
