Wildlife Walk at Glen Foerd
Details
We're crashing the BirdPhilly Winter Gulls at Glen Foerd!
Explore the beautiful grounds of Glen Foerd, a historic mansion at the northeastern tip of Philadelphia along the Delaware River. BirdPhilly’s gull watch begins at 1:00 PM, and our tracking walk will start shortly after.
We will meet at 1:30 PM at the flagpole by the river, then begin walking around 1:45 PM along the river trail to look for wildlife tracks and signs. This is a great chance to enjoy winter birding and discover the hidden stories wildlife leaves behind!
- This event is FREE, and all levels are welcome. Sign-up is not required.
Parking & Transit:
There is limited on-site and surrounding-street parking—carpool if possible. Glen Foerd is also reachable by SEPTA bus routes 19 and 84, and the Torresdale Regional Rail Station is about a 15-minute walk away.
What to Bring:
- Dress warmly and according to the weather
- A notebook and pen for observations
- Any tracking guide (recommended but not required)
- Water and any personal essentials
