Hiking up to Burg Teck

While driving on the Autobahn to Ulm, it's easy to notice an impressive and exposed peak with a castle on top from afar. It's called the Teck, and we plan to hike to the peak starting at Bissingen an der Teck. After reaching the summit, we can have a well-deserved rest and enjoy the scenic view. Towards the end of our hike, we can have picnic or late lunch at the castle restaurant, and Günter may tell us about the fascinating myths surrounding this place. In the afternoon we'll hike back to Bissingen(T) via a different route.

The meeting point will be Stuttgart Hauptbahnhof - please arrive by 9:00 AM in front of Tourist Information, Königstraße 1A. We'll take the S1 to Kirchheim unter Teck at 9:25, then Bus 175 to Bissingen(T) See, and arrive at our destination at 10:35.

We can use Deutschland tickets. The weather should be fine; hiking boots are required, however, as the trail could be rocky and uneven in places.

It'll be very warm and sunny, so bring sunscreen, a hat, and enough water to drink. We can eat and drink at Burg Teck, towards the end of our hike.
