Remove Invasive Plants & Meet Community with The Land Conservancy of BC!

Details

We will be removing invasive plants from a land covenant owned by the Land Conservancy of BC!

Please fill in Volunteer Registration if this is the first time you are volunteering with the Green Team: [http://bit.ly/2WdZeAT](https://greenteams.formstack.com/forms/greater_victoria_green_team_volunteer_registration_form). You only need to fill out this form ONCE.

We will be working rain or shine.

MEETING SPOT/PARKING
Meet at 4394 Lochside Drive.
It’s right at the corner of Lohbrunner Rd and Lochside.
Access to Lohbrunner Rd. is off of Blenkinsop Rd.

Leaders from both Greater Victoria Green Team and The Land Conservancy of BC will be at the entrance to the site to help direct you in and provide parking direction for the driveway.
There is limited parking in this location so please use active transportation or carpool if possible!

We will be working on a protected land area that is bordered by private property so please be respectful of neighbours!

Bike: This activity location is right by Lochside Regional Trail and is a great opportunity to use your bike to travel through the region!

Bus: Check BC Transit Schedules to plan your route here: https://www.bctransit.com/victoria/home

Carpooling:
Looking for a ride or willing to give others a ride to/from this activity? This will help make our activity more inclusive! Use the comment section at the bottom of this page to organize. If no one responds to your comment, contact Kaitlin.
Please note the following when carpooling:

  • Volunteers who carpool with others do so at their own risk
  • Any compensation for the ride is to be discussed / agreed upon between the driver and passenger
  • Please be courteous & respectful to one another & inform each other of any changes right away. E.g. if you're going to be late, let the other person know
  • GVGT staff are not allowed to give rides & are not responsible for coordinating rides (thought they may assist by putting people in contact with one another)

We respectfully acknowledge the longstanding relationships these groups have with the land that stretch from time immemorial to the present day. We are extremely grateful to be able to run environmental stewardship activities on these lands.
