Fun, Fitness, and Friendship - The Victoria Pathfinders Walking Club (a Volkssport club) has been offering a variety of walks throughout Greater Victoria since 1989. Most of our walks are 10 km in length, with 5 km options on our weekend walks. To enjoy our walks you should be comfortable walking five kilometers in an hour or 10 km in two hours. Our walks start promptly at 10:00 a.m. so we would appreciate you arriving by 9:45 a.m. for registration.
Regular walkers do not necessarily indicate their attendance on Meetup, but our weekday walks typically attract 10 to 12 people; on weekends typical attendance is between 15 and 40 people.
If you would like to explore parts of Greater Victoria you never knew existed with friendly people who will welcome you to the group, then our walks are for you. You will be required to pay a participation fee of $1 or $2 depending on the walk. We charge this small fee to offset our costs. Annual membership is $10. (Walkers who have paid the $10 annual membership fee can purchase discount cards – 20 walks for $10 – that can be used for any $1 walk.)

Meet at Saanich Commonwealth Place, 4636 Elk Lake Drive, Saanich V8Z 3J2. Registration starts at 9:30 am and closes at 9:55 am. The walk starts at 10:00 am. A classic walk that takes in many trails and quiet roads in the Beaver Lake area. The trail rating for both walks is 2B. (Click here for an explanation of walk ratings).

- Join us for a 5 or 10 km walk in beautiful Sidney by the SeaMary Winspear Centre, Sidney, BCCA$1.00
Meet at the Mary Winspear Centre, 2243 Beacon Avenue, Sidney V8L 1W9. Look for a group of walkers gathered in the grassy area near the back (south) entrance to the centre. Registration starts at 9:30 am, with the walk beginning at 10:00 am. Both routes are mostly flat - rated 1B. (Click here for an explanation of walk ratings.)
