Fun, Fitness, and Friendship - The Victoria Pathfinders Walking Club (a Volkssport club) has been offering a variety of walks throughout Greater Victoria since 1989. Most of our walks are 10 km in length, with 5 km options on our weekend walks. To enjoy our walks you should be comfortable walking five kilometers in an hour or 10 km in two hours. Our walks start promptly at 10:00 a.m. so we would appreciate you arriving by 9:45 a.m. for registration.
Regular walkers do not necessarily indicate their attendance on Meetup, but our weekday walks typically attract 10 to 12 people; on weekends typical attendance is between 15 and 40 people.
If you would like to explore parts of Greater Victoria you never knew existed with friendly people who will welcome you to the group, then our walks are for you. You will be required to pay a participation fee of $1 or $2 depending on the walk. We charge this small fee to offset our costs. Annual membership is $10. (Walkers who have paid the $10 annual membership fee can purchase discount cards – 20 walks for $10 – that can be used for any $1 walk.)

Join us for a 6 or 10 km walk in the Cedar Hill area
Cedar Hill Recreation Centre, 3220 Cedar Hill Rd, Victoria, BC, CAMeet at the Cedar Hill Recreation Centre,3220 Cedar Hill Road, Victoria V8P 3Y3. Meet just inside the main doors, if open. Otherwise, registration will be just inside the side door on the east side of the building. Registration opens at 9:30 am and closes at 9:55 am. Please arrive by 9:50 at the latest. The walk begins at 10:00 am. We have selected the Bowker Creek routes. These routes follow the mysterious Bowker Creek. Sometimes it's hidden, sometimes it's a beautiful urban stream. 4475 Happy Valley Rd, Victoria, BC, CAJoin us for a 10 km walk in beautiful Metchosin, starting near 4495 Happy Valley Road (parking lot) beside Mile Zero Brewing. Join us for a 5 or 10 km walk starting at the Henderson Rec Centre
2291 Cedar Hill Cross Rd, Victoria, BC, CAMeet at Henderson Recreation Center, 2291 Cedar Hill X Road, Saanich V8P 5H9. Please park on the street – not in the parking lot. Registration starts at 9:30 a.m. and closes at 9:55 a.m., with the walk starting at 10:00 a.m.
We have chosen the Uplands routes, which have no trails so will be quite usable even if it's very wet. These routes pass through some of Victorias's most attractive residential areas and have some water views. The 5 km route is rated 1A, while the 10 km route is rated 2A.
