Please join us for a 5 or 7-km walk in Mount Work Regional Park, Ross Durrance Road Parking Lot, Victoria, BC V9E 1G8. The 7 km route may take 2.5 hours. Registration starts at 9:30 and closes at 9:50. (Click here for an explanation of walk ratings.)

The 7 km Squally Reach route, rated 3C, starts walkers on the Timberman trail that weaves its way through a remarkable Douglas Fir and Arbutus forest as you ascend to the stunning 300 m high lookout. The top is an exposed rock face that offers amazing views of the Saanich Inlet, Malahat, and Saanich Peninsula. Hiking poles and sturdy footwear recommended.

The 5km route, rated 2B, includes easy trails circling Durrance Lake along a forested trail, then onto a wide gravel trail. The trail provides a beautiful view of the lake and the fishing dock. In the summer, water lilies grow on a portion of the water.

Regular walkers do not necessarily indicate their attendance on Meetup, but our weekday walks typically attract 6 to 12 people; on weekends typical attendance is between 15 and 40 people.

New walkers are always welcome.
