Join us for a 6 or 10-km walk in John Dean Park

Meet at John Dean Regional Park, main parking lot, 1515 McTavish Rd, North Saanich, BC V8L 5T3 (turn at large “Homewood Ravensview” stone/metal gates). Registration from 9:30 to 9:50 am. Walk starts at 10:00.

Both the 10 km walk (rated 3C) and 6 km walk (rated 3B) follow park trails through beautiful forested areas, past scenic viewpoints overlooking the region. There are several groves of old-growth Douglas Fir and Garry Oak trees throughout the park. Good footwear is mandatory and hiking poles are recommended. The 10 km route may take up to 2.5 hours.

Regular walkers do not necessarily indicate their attendance on Meetup, but our weekday walks typically attract 10 to 12 people; on weekends typical attendance is between 15 and 40 people.

New walkers are always welcome.
