GBH Season Launch ZOOM/chat: World Humanist Congress/AHA Conferences Reviewed

Our Fall season of activities starts off with a rare late September NATIONAL CONFERENCE of the American Humanist Association, which is virtual on September 19 and we hope you will be able to attend!
We're starting our local Fall 2026 activities for the Greater Boston Humanists chapter of AHA with a ZOOM REVIEW of the major national and international activies of the Humanist Movement!
Stuart Wamsley of GBH attended the Humanists International and World Humanist Congress in Ottawa Canada this August 8th, and he'll give a report on the 'call for Resistance' theme as humanists and secular communities face major challenges across the planet, with summaries of some of the great speakers and panels he attended as part of the related H.I. conference there.
Then we'll share our experiences of SATURDAY's American Humanist Association Virtual Conference including our impressions, inspirations and constructive criticisms and ideas how to enhance our community locally!
This virtual meeting and light social ZOOM will end with enough time for any members of the Center For Freethought Equality, AHA's 501c4 PAC, to regroup before the 6 pm Zoom meeting of that group about the upcoming US elections.
It's a weekend of Zoom, not like us, but let us ease into the Fall Season before our October 4 LUNCHEON (mark your calendars now) celebrating the Equinox and moving into our efforts to support empathy and reason in the coming year!

Stuart Wamsley is the current President of Greater Boston Humanists, and a humanist activist who helps continue the 50+ year history and traditions of the former *'Humanist Association of Massachusetts', Naturalism.org*, as well as some congregational aspects of the Humanist Chaplaincy at Harvard and MIT and its Humanist Hub project.
