1st Elastic Greece Meetup

Details

We are excited to welcome you to the first Elastic Greece meetup at "The Cube Athens" on April 3rd 2018! We're kicking off the meetup series with two very interesting presentations.
We are happy to host Katerina Koutsonikoli (https://www.linkedin.com/in/katerina-koutsonikoli-871b0b64/) and Nikos Fertakis (https://www.linkedin.com/in/nfertakis/) who will introduce you to the journey that GRNET and Skroutz had with the Elastic stack.

So, what is the Elastic Stack?

The Elastic Stack is the next evolution of ELK, where "ELK" is the acronym for three open source projects: Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana. Elasticsearch is a search and analytics engine. Logstash is a server‑side data processing pipeline that ingests data from multiple sources simultaneously, transforms it, and then sends it to a "stash" like Elasticsearch. Kibana lets users visualize data with charts and graphs in Elasticsearch.

Bring all your questions and we'll bring answers, food and drinks.

Agenda:

  • 19.00 : Welcome
  • 19.15 : Greece Elastic User Group introduction
  • 19.30 : Katerina Koutsonikoli ( GRNET S.A. ) : "How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Dynamic Field Mappings"
  • 20.15 : Nikos Fertakis ( Skroutz S.A. ) : "Overview of how Skroutz utilizes Elasticsearch"
