Γιασσας! I hope all our members had a great Pascha and are enjoying our DC spring. After some conclusion last month, we’ll give the Free State another shot and MeetUp on Thursday, May 29th* at 7:30 pm at Mykonos Grill in Rockville. In addition to speaking the mother tongue I’ll want to discuss the potential for themed MeetUp, and if we want to plan an outing (hike, boat trip, etc.) for the summer.
With summer around the corner things are slowing down a bit, but there are a couple of other Greek events to highlight:
- Saint Katherine’s in Falls Church presents “O, All-Laudable Mother:
A Byzantine Music Concert” on Sunday, May 11th at 6:30 pm. Tickets and more information can be found at dcgreeks.com
- There are two Greek Festivals in May. Saint Sophia holds theirs on May 16, 17 and 18 (I’m volunteering on Saturday night), and St. George’s in on May 31 and June 1.
