Hello everyone!
I'm excited to share the date and location for our first meetup, at the Sweet Willow Herbal Cafe, on Thursday, Sep 25th, 3-5 pm (May run a little bit later if those interested would like to hang out around the farmers market after.)
I’d love to share a bit about why I started this meetup. I'm relatively new to the area, as I mostly reside in Detroit, where there's a wonderful artist community. On a weekly basis, many of us meet, crowding out cafes or diners to spend a few hours making art together. Some of us sketch or paint, while others like to knit, fill in coloring books, write, or even code video games! Age or skill level never mattered—what did was that we built a community where we could be creative together in whatever way felt like on any given day-- so long as it didn’t make a mess, of course.
I had hoped to find a similar community in Green Bay to join, but when my searches came up empty, the next best thing I could think of to meet fellow creatives in the area was to make this group! Thank you to everyone who has joined so far--I certainly hope I get to meet you!
