Little Mountain Summit – After Work Hike

This 2.96 mile hike has moderate elevation gain but the reward is well worth the effort. We’ll start at the entrance to O’Hair Park, briefly travel along the Reuben Kaehler Trail, then head south on the Little Mountain Trail. At the 1/4 mile point we’ll start our ascent to the summit. The first portion of the ascent is steep and climbs roughly 500 feet in 1 mile. The rest of the hike is a gentle up and down along the ridge of Little Mountain to a summit elevation of 800 feet. The peak provides an amazing view of Stafford Lake and West Marin.
