O’Hair/Little Mtn. after Work Hike
Details
Join us for a hike in Novato’s O’Hair Park and Marin County’s Little Mountain Open Space Preserve. Features include a dog park, a fully shaded gentle path, Novato Creek, a historical homestead, and a sunny slope in a tucked away neighborhood.
Trailhead: This hike involves a short car shuttle. We’ll meet at the end of Center Road in Novato. Half the cars will stay there. The other half will drive to the dog park in O’Hair Park where the hike begins.
Route: Dog park, Ruben Kaehler Trail, Little Mountain Trail, and Doe Hill Fire Road. This hike is about 3.3 miles long and should take about 1.5 hours to walk including car shuttle. It climbs 180 feet in a few segments. This is about the easiest terrain we walk in.
Gear: Bring water, sunscreen, sturdy footwear, and appropriate clothing.
