Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks

Green Drinks is promoting the Kanza Network in welcoming Amy Bousman with the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks at their monthly meeting. The event will be held in the Heritage Room at Colonial Church in Prairie Village for a comprehensive discussion and Q&A session.
Following are some of the questions that have been prepared for the meeting, but attendees are highly encouraged to bring their own questions to the meeting as this will be an opportunity to speak to the state organization designed to conserve Kansas land and community:
• Does KDWP have plans to ban turtle races as a way to protect the state reptile?

• Which species in Kansas are in need of the most protection right now?
• How does KDWP regulate hunting and fishing to ensure species' population protection?
• Out of the 31 state parks, which ones are the most popular?
• What conservation issues in Kansas should we be focusing on right now?
