Craig Best (National Trust, West Yorkshire) and Cllr Rob Walker (cabinet member for Environment and Culture, Kirklees Council) will look at what’s happening locally to our moors and green spaces.
They will give an overview of the Our Future Landscapes project that has brought together a range of organisations interested in transforming our moorland landscape in the upper Holme and Colne Valleys. They will outline progress to date and provide an ambitious vision for the future.
"This session will provide a taster for two public events planned for 21st March at Marsden Mechanics and 22nd March at Holmfirth Civic Hall which will allow a further opportunity to shape our plans", said Rob Walker.
This month it will be at the Pop-up Climate Emergency Hub in a shop in the Piazza Centre occupied for a week by Kirklees Culture Declares.
The session will start at 18.00 with time for networking and drinks (water) from 17.30.
